This Oklahoma Board of Nursing approved course is designed for license eligible RN or LPNs returning to clinical practice as well as the graduate nurse needing a refresher course before sitting for the NCLEX examination. The course includes contemporary healthcare practices and a review of general nursing knowledge and skills. The 100 hour didactic portion of the course is online. Time is required on campus (approximately 20 hours) in the health lab where nursing skills are reviewed & demonstrated. The 80 hour clinical component is completed in an acute care setting in Oklahoma. Each class will be limited to seven LPN students.
Previous licensure in the state of Oklahoma, licensed in another state, or license eligible. An email address and internet access is required for enrollment in this course. Students must be able to attend 80 hours of clinical activities, which include twelve hour shifts. Students must do a National Background Check within 7 days of the course start. Persons with issues on background check may not be accepted by the clinical sites. Students will be required to pass a random drug test administered by the school.
