This program is designed for individuals with limited or no manufacturing background to develop skills in the setup and operation of Computer Numerical Controlled (CNC) equipment. CNC setup operators handle the initial start-up of a program, operate and troubleshoot conventional and CNC machine tools, and maintain quality control of parts being machined. Emphasis is placed on shop safety, housekeeping, and preventative maintenance.

ti120 Machining, Basic. and minimum of 150 hours of hands on experience within the last year prior to class. Student MUST have email and Internet access. Strong communication skills (Read write in English) and have basic math skills. Students will provide their own shop apron.
