Students learn and apply theories of commercial refrigeration, electric heating and air conditioning to real-life, in-the-field situations. Subjects include: electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, the correct use of testing and diagnostic instruments, correct procedures for preventive maintenance, service and repair of commercial refrigeration, electric heating, and air conditioning. Students will also take the ICE exam, an industry recognized certification. Cost of testing is included in the tuition. Students will use textbooks they obtained in HVAC 1. To obtain a Journeyman's License in the State of Oklahoma, you must apprentice for three (3) years. With a certificate from MNTC, you will only have to apprentice for two (2) years if you complete HVAC I and HVAC II.
