Students will learn the theory of refrigeration, the components of refrigeration, air conditioning, and heating systems, and the proper installation, diagnostic, and servicing procedures for these systems. Students will also have the opportunity to test and earn their EPA certification. To obtain a Journeyman's License in the State of Oklahoma, you must apprentice for three (3) years. With a certificate from MNTC, you will only have to apprentice for two (2) years if you complete HVAC I and HVAC II.
The student is required to pass a reading and math comprehension test or demonstrate completion of a minimum of 12 college credit hours with a GPA of at least 2.0 or above to enroll in the class. Must meet with career advisor to confirm academic, reading and math pre-requisite. Each student will be reviewed on an individual basis.
