AutoCAD Introduction

Learn AutoCAD and obtain a Craft! This course is designed for the new user or anyone wanting to update from an older AutoCAD version. The ability to design with AutoCAD is definitely a craft that gives you the needed technical expertise needed to pursue a professional career in various fields; engineering, architecture, interior design, manufacturing, project management etc.; where organization and aesthetic design are king. You will learn the essential commands required for 2D drawing, design, and drafting using AutoCAD. The curriculum emphasizes Notes, Tips, and Warnings, which are systematically called out for special attention. With this newfound skill, you can take on designing projects as either a hubby or a source of income to supplement your core source of income.
You will also be guided in obtaining the latest version of AutoCAD software with this course to use and study with at home.
All MNTC instruction and curriculum is provided in English unless specifically stated otherwise.
Students should be familiar with the Microsoft operating system, and have the ability to use a keyboard and a mouse. No previous computer-aided design (CAD) experience is required, although drafting and/or design experience can be helpful.
It is the policy of the technology center board of education that students who have paid tuition for adult programs be given full or partial refunds under conditions stated in established guidelines.
A 1098-T Tuition Statement provides documentation you may be able to use to apply for education tax credits when you file your tax return. If you decline to provide your Social Security Number, we will not be able to provide you with a 1098-T.

Penalties
If you fail to furnish your correct Social Security Number (SSN) to the requester, you are subject to a penalty of $50 to the IRS unless your failure is due to reasonable cause and not to willful neglect.
If the requester discloses or uses your Social Security Number (SSN) in violation of federal law, the requester may be subject to civil and criminal penalties.
