This course is the second in a series of comprehensive courses in electronics that covers the integrated circuits, electronic communications, basic computer systems and electronics component soldering. In this course, students will apply basic electronic principles to solve problems concerning operational amplifier specifications and applications in inverting and non-inverting amplifiers, summing and subtracting circuits, differential amplifiers, comparators, and Schmitt Trigger circuits. This course also covers operational amplifier gain, frequency effects on operational amplifiers, and various types of active filters including low pass, high pass, band reject, and band pass. The student will also learn about 555 timer circuits. The student will construct and test circuits in the lab to meet specified operational parameters as well as analyze electronic circuits associated with amplitude modulation, frequency modulation, transmission lines, antennas and fiber optics. Finally, the student will learn the basics component soldering and of computer systems and IT technology. Students may elect to test for certification at the end of the course, (ETA: CTE) test cost is included in tuition

It is the policy of the technology center board of education that students who have paid tuition for adult programs be given full or partial refunds under conditions stated in established guidelines.
A 1098-T Tuition Statement provides documentation you may be able to use to apply for education tax credits when you file your tax return. If you decline to provide your Social Security Number, we will not be able to provide you with a 1098-T.
